Privacy policy

Effective October 3, 2026 · Development version

Sighlet is made by Taoftware LLC. This policy describes the current development build and identifies features that are not yet enabled. We will update it before test builds introduce additional data processing.

Your local recordings

Microphone access is used only when you start recording. Audio, its sound envelope, private title and recording details are stored in the app's local files. Recording works without an account. The current build does not upload recordings to our servers, analyse them on a server or offer public sharing. You may enable direct copying between your paired phone and watch in Sighlet on both devices. Originals stay on the watch. Disconnecting stops new copies. Apple WatchConnectivity or Google Wear OS Data Layer delivers these private copies; this is separate from Sighlet cloud storage. Uninstalling the app or deleting its data can remove local recordings. Export anything you want to keep.

Optional accounts and cloud storage

Optional email-code sign-in uses Supabase Auth. We process your email, a private account identifier, sign-in requests and your acceptance of the Sighlet terms to provide and secure your account. The session is kept in protected storage on your device. Sighlet account data is separate from other Taoftware apps. Private cloud audio storage is not enabled. Before activation, this policy will specify audio retention, storage location, access, deletion and service-provider backup retention. Audio will not be uploaded without your explicit choice. Public sharing, if introduced, will require separate consent and a verified breath-only check.

Purchases

Development builds may offer clearly labelled RevenueCat Test Store purchases, which do not charge real money. Production subscriptions, when available, will be processed by Apple or Google and managed through RevenueCat. RevenueCat processes a private app account identifier or anonymous purchase identifier, store transaction and subscription details to validate, restore and manage access. Signing in associates purchases with your private Sighlet account identifier. We do not send recordings or private titles to RevenueCat, collect payment card numbers or enable its behavioural tracking. Store purchase records may be retained for fraud prevention and legal or accounting duties.

App and website data

The current app has no advertising, behavioural analytics or session replay. The website uses Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes technical request data, such as IP addresses, to deliver and secure the site. We do not install advertising cookies or track your recordings on this website.

Your choices

You can revoke microphone permission in device settings, export audio, delete individual recordings and change accessibility preferences. Local recording deletion is permanent in the app. You can contact us about privacy or deletion at hello@taoftware.com. Do not send audio or health information unless we have agreed a specific reason.

Children and health information

Sighlet is intended for people aged 13 and older, or the higher minimum age required where they live. It is not designed to collect children's personal information. Sound observations are not medical measurements. We do not sell your personal information.

Changes and contact

Material changes will be described here and in the app when appropriate. Questions: Taoftware LLC, hello@taoftware.com.
